Sugar and Salt Scrubs

History of Skin Scrubs and Exfoliation  :

The History of Exfoliation. Exfoliation is the process of removing the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin through either chemical or mechanical methods. But the practice itself also has a long history dating back to ancient Egypt when sour milk, which contains lactic acid, was used as a chemical exfoliant.

At Earthyalchemist, our scrubs are made to bring balance to your mind and body. Wrapping your skin with a unique blend of salts, mix of sugars oils, and botanicals, our scrubs are a complete package needed to restore balance to your skin over time with use.

Our yummy body scrubs are hand mixed in small batches with your skin in mind (sensitive, normal, oily). Exfoliation is key to healthy skin and we make it easy for you to use.

Sugar scrubs have so many benefits in skincare that are exceptional with regular use. Sugar is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment. Sugar’s texture makes an excellent exfoliant, and is used in a number of body scrubs to exfoliate dead surface skin cells and reveal the glowing, healthy-looking skin underneath.

Salt Scrubs have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties add to it nourishing oils they become a strong alley in  your daily skincare routine. It can unclog pores eliminate bacterial buildup, protect against pimples and discoloration and give your skin an attractive and rosy post-scrub glow.

Many salts, such as magnesium sulfate, contain minerals that can reduce inflammation. We also use Himalayan pink salt and Dead sea salts with nutritive additives like clays milks herbs and botanicals that naturally lend their restorative properties to the scrubs.

Care :

Because we strive to provide you with all natural products, free of  preservatives storing them properly ensures it's freshness and life.  Do not store our scrubs in direct sunlight due to the natural herbs and essential oils.

The scrubs hold true to their potency when stored devoid of moisture in air tight containers with NO water access. Close lids tightly between uses.

How to Use :

With our scrubs a little goes a long way. This are semi dry in nature so do not expect them to drip with oils. This feel intentional. These scrubs with salts and sugar absorb the oils and store them within they particulates. The oils they hold are just enough to soothe and moisturize your skin without creating a slippery mess in your shower or tub.

Take a pinch of the scrub in between your thumb and pointer finger and rub it within your palms to activate the oils then rub it on your wet skin. (A little goes a long way) Wet skin is more receptive to exfoliation so this is how to get the most out of your scrubs. We recommend you exfoliate every 2 days  for maximum results, although you may use it e everyday as well.
